Refund policy

If you can no longer attend an event, you can get a refund under these conditions:

• Notice period: send your refund request at least 48 hours before the official start time of the event.
• Refund amount: a request made in time gets a 100% refund of the ticket price. Transaction fees are not refunded (see section 3).
• How to ask: email contact@esnfint.org with your order number and full name.

We understand that life happens. But if you cannot attend because of sudden illness or an emergency on the day of the event, or less than 48 hours before it, the ticket is not refundable: under the GDPR we cannot collect and process the personal information it would take to verify the reason. You can still pass your ticket on (see section 4).

These are non-refundable in every case:

• Patches and merchandise: all sales of patches, overalls and other physical merchandise are final.
• Transaction fees: third-party service fees (such as Kide.app's) are not refunded.
• No-shows: if you do not come and did not tell us in advance, there is no refund.

If the 48-hour refund window has passed, you are welcome to resell or transfer your ticket to another student.

• Finding a buyer: that is up to you; ESN FINT does not arrange resales.
• Name change: tell us the new name if the event has a guest list (for example a sitsit or an excursion).
• Price cap: you may not sell the ticket for more than you paid for it.

If we cancel an event for any reason:

• you get a full (100%) refund of the ticket price;
• the money goes back to your original payment method automatically, usually within 14 days.

Events organised with a travel agency (such as Timetravels) follow that agency's cancellation policy, not this one. Check the terms you are given when you book.
