Honestly… we’re not entirely sure.
But we’re going there to find out.

Ready for a day trip to Turku? Join ESN FINT, ESN Aalto, ESN Uni Helsinki and ESN Uni Turku for a fun day in one of Finland’s most mysterious cities!

We’ll travel from Tampere to Turku in the morning and return in the evening, giving you plenty of time to explore the city, meet new people and spend a fun day together! 🫶

Please be at the station by 08:30am so we have enough time to meet everyone and get ready for our 09:10am train to Turku. 🚆

🎟️ IMPORTANT: KIDE REGISTRATION

The event registration on Kide is FREE, but you should get the free ticket only if you are sure you will join the trip and are ready to purchase your own train tickets.

Please don’t take a Kide ticket if you are unsure about coming, as there are only 30 spots available and we want to make sure everyone who registers can actually join. 🫶

The Kide ticket does not include train tickets. Everyone must purchase their own round-trip train tickets through the VR Matkalla app.

After registering on Kide, you must:

2. 🚆 Buy your own round-trip train tickets through the VR Matkalla app.
3. 📲 Join the Telegram group to receive all important updates and detailed instructions.

🎫 TRAIN TICKETS

Train tickets are not included in the event registration. Everyone buys their own round-trip ticket through the VR Matkalla app.

Students: Select the Student ticket.

To purchase a student ticket, you must have a valid Finnish student card with the green VR logo. A digital student card is also accepted if it has the VR logo.

❗ No Finnish student card with the VR logo? You must purchase an Adult ticket.

📱 HOW TO BUY YOUR TRAIN TICKETS

1. Download the VR Matkalla app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Search for Tampere → Turku on 3 October.
3. Choose the 09:10 departure.
4. Select the correct ticket type: Student or Adult.
5. For the return journey, choose Turku → Tampere at 21:08.
6. Purchase your tickets and keep them in the app. 🚆

💡 Please buy your train tickets as soon as possible! Prices may increase closer to the travel date, so don’t wait until the last minute. 👀

We’ll also provide detailed instructions in the Telegram group about exactly which tickets and departures to choose.

Every participant will receive a unique patch that you can sew onto your overall — a little souvenir from our Turku adventure.

🍽️ FOOD

During the trip, we’re planning to have lunch at a student restaurant/cafeteria in Turku. 🍴

Students with a valid student card can get the student-priced meal. If you don’t have a student card, the meal will cost more, so you may want to bring your own food or choose another place to eat in Turku.
